Transform Toyz (Effect Bundle)

Transform Toyz are a suite of five plugins I use in nearly every composition and clip.
I’ve never enjoyed locking myself into decisions with envelopes and keyframes; instead, I prefer a more random, evolving approach. These plugins create all kinds of fun, unpredictable movements  both controlled and chaotic.

They’re designed to work with elements that contain alpha information, such as my Cloner Creatures modular kits or Alpha Fighters. They also work extremely well for showcasing stroke-based effects like StrokeVolt or StrokeDiffuse.

Random Triggers

A plugin that lets you define the maximum random offset for X, Y, and rotation. You can then trigger each parameter to jump to a new random value within that range.

Rotation Burst

A more advanced plugin that uses logic to detect the rising edge of rotation. Acting like a speed detector, it runs autonomously and only fires a new value once rotation has almost come to a stop. I made this to sit before cloners with delays enabled, creating jittery, organic rotation bursts.

Sampled Random

This plugin samples a running noise texture and converts it into float values to generate random X, Y, and rotation movements from its unpacked RGB data. Because it’s image-driven, you can use different algorithms to shape the randomness, and even apply contrast to create sharper easing curves.

Smooth Random

A smoothed Perlin-style random generator. This is the one I probably use the most, giving you clean, reliable random X, Y, and rotation movement within a defined range.

Wobble

Generates smooth X, Y, and rotation wobble movements using sine oscillators. The oscillators are related to one another, allowing the offsets to interact in interesting, funky ways.
